Educational activities for all
MACRO is the first museum dedicated to Contemporary Art in Rome. MACRO’s two sites, Via Reggio Emilia, and MACRO Future - located in the old slaughterhouse area in the Testaccio district - both of which host educational activities and provide a range of services for schools, universities, and other sections of the public too. Educational programmes shadow the schedule of exhibitions and events, and include activities related to permanent art collections and workshops. Educational initiatives are arranged to suit different age groups, but the overall objective is always to utilise the items on display and the workshops and the workshops as much as possible.
Educational activities undertaken by MACRO and MACRO Future essentially aim to encourage children, young people and adults, to think about contemporary art, as it is often, after all, an important tool that can be and is used to reflect our times.
Since January 2008, a special family educational programme has been underway. On Sundays, mums, dads, grandparents, aunts and uncles are only welcome at MACRO if they are accompanied by at least one child. FOR ALL, age from 5 to 105.

Events in the framework of the XIV Culture Week aimed at families with children aged between 5 and 10 years of age.
