Free Entrance

• to citizens of the European Union under 18 and over 65 years of age , and to citizens of foreign countries enjoying reciprocal rights, including those outside the European Union, except for at the installation in the Planetarium of Rome as the Museum of Roman Culture
• to tourist guides, from the European Union, and citizens of Countries outside the European Union with reciprocal conditions, when engaged in their professional work on production of a valid licence from a relevant authority;
• to tourist interpreters from the European Union, and of countries outside the European Union with reciprocal conditions, when engaged in their professional work tourists when engaged in their professional work in collaboration with a guide, on production of a valid licence from a relevant authority;
• to members of ICOM (International Council of Museums) and members of foreign and national cultural institutes such as the Lincei Academy, the Institute of Roman Studies, the Friends of the Museums of Rome, ICCROM, the Central Institute of Restoration;
• For study or research reasons, attested by a scholastic institute or university, academy, Italian or foreign institute of research and culture, departments of the Ministry for Cultural Assets or other offices of the Municipal Administration;
• to all during Cultural Assets Week, the White Night, Christmas in Rome, as well as similar cultural events, arranged by the Municipal Administration under a European directive or Ministerial initiative;
Student groups from Italian schools, whether state funded or private and from other member states of the European Union, accompanied by their teachers, when booked in advance, with a list agreed by the head of the institution;
• to teachers and students from the Faculties of Architecture, Conservation of Cultural Assets, Educational Science and degree courses in Literature of literary subjects based in archaeological or art history departments of the Faculty of Literature and Philosophy, of the countries of the European Union, or countries outside the European Union with reciprocal conditions. A free ticket is given on production of a certificate of enrolment for the current academic year);
• to teachers and students from the Academies of Fine Arts or corresponding institutions, of the countries of the European Union, or countries outside the European Union with reciprocal conditions. A free ticket is given on production of a certificate of enrolment for the current academic year);
• to students in possession of the “Student Card” issued by the Provincial Board of the Students of Rome;
• to the citizens of Paris, in accordance with reciprocal agreement made when Rome and Paris were twinned, until 31/12/2007;
• to guests of the Municipal Administration when they are present in the role of a delegate;
• exclusively for the shows at the Planetarium at the Museum of Roman Culture, for children under 6 years of age who are members of the European Union or of countries outside the European Union with reciprocal conditions;
• to handicapped citizens of the European Union and to a family member or other companion who is assisting them in their social or health needs;
• to blood donors and a companion during the Summer Campaign for the donation of blood (1st July – 15th October);
In special circumstances the Municipality of Rome reserves the right to allow free access to the museums, and archaeological and monumental areas and sites.
